Quadrangle Rivalry

Last week, Belconnen BC played host to the annual “Quadrangle” where teams from the ACT, Norfolk Island, Lord Howe Island and The Royal NSW BA played off for an impressive trophy – but more importantly, bragging rights!  Along with the obvious inter-island rivalry, it goes without saying that the Royal vs ACT was always going to be a hard fought match.  To the delight of the home crowd, the team from the ACT defeated the Royal in 3 of the 4 matches whereas Norfolk Is defeated Lord Howe Is 2.5 games to 1.5.  In other matches, the Royal dominated the Islands in all matches as did Lord Howe when they played the ACT.  Points were shared when the ACT played Norfolk Is.
The final standings were:
NSW    9 points
Lord Howe Island    5.5 points
Norfolk Island   5 points
ACT    4.5 points Last week, Belconnen BC played host to the annual “Quadrangle” where teams from the ACT, Norfolk Island, Lord Howe Island and The Royal NSW BA played off for an impressive trophy – but more importantly, bragging rights!
