Zone 16 Clean up at Quadrangle
Zone 16, from the Illawarra region has cleaned up the Men’s section at the annual Quadrangle series played last weekend at Canberra North Bowling Club. Zone 16 had a big win over Zone 15 (Central Coast) 144-92, as well as decent wins against the ACT (125-117) and Zone 2 (Newcastle) 124-107*. Runner up, with wins against the ACT and Zone 2 was Zone 15 from Newcastle.(** Each match comprising 4 rinks senior players and one rink each of over 60’s and under 25s.)
Newcastle Women took home all the trophies (metaphorically!) with wins over ACT Gold, Central Coast and ACT Blue.The ACT Gold team was the only ACT team to post a win and this was a big one over Central Coast (108-53).
