State Triples Championships Decided
Both the Men’s and Women’s ACT State Triples have been completed with Belconnen taking out the men’s championship and Yowani taking out the women’s event.
In the men’s event, played at Tuggeranong Vikings, last year’s runners up Belconnen ( P Watts, D Fitzpatrick, R Kyle)convincingly defeated Canberra (T Smith, C Gilbert, J Freeman) 32-23. .
In the women’s event, played at City, Yowani (E Riding-Hill, M Jackson, N Blunden) defeated the highly fancied Queanbeyan team (B McDonald, M Davies, L Donney) 20-18.
