Canberra Ladies Take Pairs Title
Canberra pair Pam Bishop and Mina Bannerman convincingly defeated City’s ‘power pair’ of Ruth Moore and Lorretta Gillespie in last weekends final of the the women’s state pairs. Played at Queanbeyan in glorious conditions, the teams were equal after the 5th end when Bishop and Bannerman jumped to a 10 shot lead leaving Moore and Gillespie playing catch up for the rest of the game. Congratulations to both teams for an exciting match!
