Tuggeranong Women’s Pennant Five for Five
The Tuggeranong Valley Women’s Pennant Grade 1 side have just taken out their 5th premiership in as many years. They finished the year 7 points ahead of nearest rival, Canberra City. The women’s Side are just one premiership win away from equaling the Men’s Club’s record of 6 consecutive Grade 1 wins – the challenge has been thrown out there so watch out!
After an accidental player eligibility breach by one of the Grade 2 teams, Weston Creek were able to leap frog Yowani to take out the Grade 2 premiership. Their flag and badges will be presented to the players early in 2016.
Grade 3 winners Yass were also well ahead on the leader-board going into the last round assuring themselves of the premiership after being the runners up last year.
Grade 4 winners were Belconnen who repeated their 2014 premiership win. They finished the rounds an astonishing 31 points ahead of second place-getters, Canberra North.
