Howie & Moore – ACT’s Players of the 2016 Sides Series

Andrew Howie and Ruth Moore were voted by their team mates to be the players of the series in the recently completed Australian  National Sides event played in Queanbeyan. 
Howie, who played his last match for the ACT before departing to a new job and new club in Queensland, was the highest performed  ACT Skip of the tournament, coming in 9th place overall.  The ACT men ended the tournament in 7th place with wins over WA and NT.  They also came close to upsetting both Qld (lost by 2 shots) and Tasmanian (lost by 4 shots). 
Ruth Moore played third in the rink skipped by Nicole Mengel.  Ruth’s consistency throughout the event earned her the votes of her team mates.  The ACT Women came 6th overall with wins against Qld and Tasmania.
