Canberra BC could be set to break last year’s all time ‘best ever’ record with wins last weekend in both the men’s and women’s Champion of Club Champion Singles.  In the women’s event, Lois Waters defeated long-time ‘rival’ and former representative team colleague Ruth Moore (City) 25-14.  Both women made the final after marathon semi-final matches – Ruth defeating Sharon Harmer (WC) 25-17, Lois defeating Elsie Riding-Hill (Yowani) 25-22.
In the men’s event, Mark Dulihanty defeated Queanbeyan ‘veteran’ Peter Rowe 25-9.  As with the women’s event, the men had to defeat highly fancied rivals to secure their finals spots – Mark defeating QRSLMs David Thomas 25-13 and Peter defeating Weston Creeks Terry McInnes 25-13.
