2022 BACT Championships Update
2022 BACT Fours
A massive congratulations goes out to the team of Marquet/Steel/Harmer/Bacchetto who took out the final of the 2022 BACT Women’s Fours on Saturday the 5th of February out at Queanbeyan Bowling Club. After a tough battle to make their way through to the Semi finals missing Sharon Harmer to COVID, with brilliant input from substitute Maureen Wilkie, they have rallied across the final day to take the tournament out and kick off the year in style. Two of the team members, Di Marquet and Sharon Steele, have kicked off the year in find fashion lining up a final in the Triples as well putting in early efforts to take out the Female Bowler of the Year.
The Men’s Final has set it’s date with Barry/Southwell/Beaumont/Bill set to take on Croker/Peric/Monfries/Farr over at Weston Creek Bowling Club at 10 on the 20th of February.
2022 BACT Triples Finals
Dates are set and we’re locked in to round out the Triples across the Men’s and Women’s competitions. Strong numbers sees us requiring a 5th round of competition and we’ve stacked up the matches across morning with the Men’s and Women’s Final both being played on the 20th of February as well! 2022 BACT Pairs
We’re all set to go for the weekend in the Men’s and Women’s Pairs and with 37 teams entering into the field for each competition we look set for a big one. Canberra Bowling Club plays host to the men’s arm with Queanbeyan Bowling Club set to assist on the first day of play, while Vikings Bowls Club will host the Women’s arm of the competition in their first hosting duty for the year. There is sure to be a few stories rolling through from this one, so if you’re free get down to one of the clubs to check it out and hold out for some results coming through next week before we dive head first into a weekend full of finals.
2022 BACT Singles
Finally, we can’t mis out on the chance to remind you that entries are still open for the 2022 BACT Singles across the Men’s and Women’s. A massive event every year we’re getting ourselves set for another big year in the singles at Queanbeyan RSLM Bowling Club. An event not to be missed for any reason, the singles also represents a good opportunity to pick up a few more points in the Bowler of the Year award, but more importantly represents a perfect opportunity to put yourself to the test against the best of the region.
