Bowls ACT Representative Staff
Bowls ACT are proud to announce the first appointments to the elite squad staff ahead of the 2023 Bowls ACT representative season. Players are reminded that nominations for players and staffing remains open with final decisions on players, selectors and coaches to be made in late April. Bowls ACT wish to thank Westcoast Bowls for their support of our representative program.
Junior Coach – George Bruce
George brigs a wealth of coaching experience to the role, with a long history coaching junior elite teams across many sports. In his short time in the ACT he has been instrumental in supporting the 2022 ACT Junior Campaign as well as taking a leading role in junior development programs around the capital region, from Rookie Rollers program in primary schools to junior activations and regular junior squad training sessions. Bowls ACT appreciate the work of George who will work closely with director Paul McAlister to achieve the best outcomes for our next generation of bowlers.
Open Womens Coach – Renee Arkinstall
Having previously served with distinction as ACT Open Womens Coach and Over 60’s Womens coach prior to COVID, Renee is excited to be back supporting our open women as the squad looks to build on some great performances in 2022. Renee has a focus on team building and getting the best out of the combinations, with her bright personality you can be sure she will have the team unified and ready to play their best.
Over 60’s Womens Coach – Ruth Moore
Bringing over 30 years of experience in the sport, Ruth was a strong addition to the ACT Coaching ranks in 2022. Ruth brings elite experience as a former Jackaroo squad member and will look to use that knowledge to give our side a greater advantage with a full season to prepare and build on the solid results of the 2022 campaign.
