Bowls ACT Junior Carnival – Draws Released
Bowls ACT are pleased to release the draws for the 2023 ACT Junior Carnival, to be held at Queanbeyan RSL Memorial Bowling Club April 13 & 14.
Consisting of the ACT Junior Singles Championship (April 14) and new Capital Junior Pairs Tournament (April 13) Bowls ACT has expanded opportunities for regional juniors to compete against players of similar ages and experience. A further addition is the opportunity for all competitors to meet & greet on the green (April 12th 2-4pm) with Bowls Australia pathways coach James Reynolds.
Capital Junior Pairs:
Each team will play three games against randomly drawn opponents with the winners to be based on the following criteria;
- Points (2 Points per win – 1 point draw – 0 points loss)
- Score difference (Margin)
- Score percentage (Shots for divided by shots against)
- In the event teams are tied for first place a three end playoff will be held
ACT Junior Singles
Players have been drawn into two sections, from which each player will play three games against randomly drawn opponents with the section winners to advance to a knockout final, based on the following criteria;
- Points (2 Points per win – 1 point draw – 0 points loss)
- Score difference (Margin)
- Score percentage (Shots for divided by shots against)
- In the event there us a tie for first place the winner will be determined on the winner of the game between the two tied players.
