Bowls ACT – Indoor Singles Draw
Bowls ACT are pleased to release the draw for the 2023 ACT Indoor Singles Qualifiers to be hosted by Canberra Bowling Club on June 24 & 25 with the 2023 draw growing with 26 men and 7 women nominating.
The 2023 Men’s and Women’s winners of the ACT qualifying event will join the field of 32 competitors from around Australia at the 2023 Australian Indoor Championships to be held at Club Tweed August 14-17.
Event Format
- An open draw will be conducted prior to the event. Maximum two (2) trial ends shall be permitted at the commencement of each game.
- Dead ends do not count – Jack to be re-spotted on the T
- Format is four bowl singles played as 2x Nine End sets, with a Three End tie-break if required.
- Games will be played as knockout
- Eliminated players and/or bye round players may be required to mark
- Club uniform is to be worn
- Competitors may be members of any Bowls ACT club or other State or Territory Association provided you have not already competed elsewhere in this event cycle.
- Winners will be eligible to play at the Australian Indoor Singles Finals at Club Tweed. Bowls Australia will provide accommodation to the winners from the practice day until the player is eliminated.
- The host club is the event controlling body. The controlling body may change the event format if required due to inclement weather.
