Draws released for Mid-Week Pennant

Bowls ACT are excited for the upcoming season

Thanks to all the clubs who have nominated for the 2023 Bowls ACT Mid-Week Pennant season. This season we welcome Crookwell & Yass to the Men’s competition for the first time, growing the competiton to eight clubs competing while the womens competition has grown to 15 teams and three grades.

The Womens Mid-Week Pennant will be played over 10 rounds with the top ranked team in each grade awarded the title of Womens Mid-Week Champions.

The Mens competition will be played over 7 rounds between all eight clubs, with final standings to determine Grade 1 (top four) and Grade 2 (fifth to eights) finals as set out below:

Grade 1:

  • Major Semi – 1st v 2nd (loser players winner of Minor Semi – Winner to Grand Final)
  • Minor Semi – 3rd v 4th (winners player loser of Major Semi – Loser eliminated)
  • Prelim Final – Loser Major Semi v Winner Minor Semi (Loser eliminated)
  • Grand Final – Winner Major Semi v Winner Prelim Final

Grade 2:

  • Major Semi – 5th v 6th (loser players winner of Minor Semi – Winner to Grand Final)
  • Minor Semi – 7th v 8th (winners player loser of Major Semi – Loser eliminated)
  • Prelim Final – Loser Major Semi v Winner Minor Semi (Loser eliminated)
  • Grand Final – Winner Major Semi v Winner Prelim Final

Clubs have been setup with the ability to enter teams and results through BowlsLink. If there are any clubs uncertain as to how to use BowlsLink for pennant entries/results please get in touch with Bowls ACT

Following feedback from the 2022 season all games are scheduled to commence at 10am, though the start time can be altered by mutual agreement. Further any clubs which are impacted with players unavailable with during the season can elect to re-schedule games via mutual agreement between clubs involved and BACT.
