Bowls ACT Graded Reserve Championships – New in 2024
Bowls ACT are excited to offer for the first time in 2024 the ACT Graded Reserve Championships to be run in conjunction with the ACT State Championships. This new competition stream will give more opportunities for more members to compete, in keeping with the aims of the strategic plan, connecting more people to bowls, in more ways, more often.
Bowls ACT see this competition as an ideal partner to the existing ACT Championships with the competition played as Open-Gender (men/women/mixed entries all welcome) as part of the 2024 trial. Members who played the majority of the previous years pennant season in Grade 4 or below are able to enter, those without a pennant grading must be assessed by their club to be of that level. Current ACT representative players will not be eligible, regardless of pennant grading.
By making available a second stream of competition, Bowls ACT will provide more opportunities for clubs to host events while giving new players, older members and those yet to be ready to compete against the very best an opportunity to play against competition of similar standard with participation the major focus.
Bowls ACT encourage clubs and members to get behind the Graded Reserve Championships in 2024 and promote to your potential and current members as another way that anyone can be involved in our sport.
