2024 ACT Over 60’s Pairs- Draws Now Online
Bowls ACT thank all clubs and members for the support of this event with a huge 62 teams nominated!
Bowls ACT are excited to release the draws for the 2024 ACT Over 60’s Pairs!! The event is to be played with the Men at Belconnen Bowling Club and the Women at Tuggeranong Vikings Bowling Club with a Round-Robin format on Wednesday, 19th of March with the top 8 teams progressing to a knockout on Thursday, 20th of March.
Event Format – ACT Over 60’s Pairs
- An open draw will be conducted prior to the event. Maximum two (2) trial ends shall be permitted at the commencement of each game.
- Dead ends do not count – Jack to be re-spotted on the T
- Format is three bowl pairs played over 15 ends
- Day 1 will be played as round robin, with all teams playing 3 games & the top 8 teams from each section progressing to Day 2, which will be a knockout format
- Club uniform is to be worn
- Teams can be made up by of members of any Bowls ACT club(s) and can be from one or more clubs.
- Prizes – Badges will be awarded plus $100pp for the winners and $50pp for the runners-up
- The host club is the event controlling body. The controlling body may change the event format if required due to inclement weather.
