2024 ACT Singles Championships Draws Now Online

Bowls ACT congratulate all clubs for their fantastic support of the event!!

Bowls ACT are excited to release the draws for the 2024 ACT State Championship Singles and the Graded Reserve Singles!! The State Singles is to be played at Queanbeyan RSL Memorial Bowling Club and Queanbeyan Bowls Club on May 11th, 18th and 19th with the 25th spare. Both clubs will host on the 11th of May with all play moving to Queanbeyan RSL from the 18th of May.

The Graded Reserve Singles is to be played at Belconnen Bowling Club on May 11th, 18th and 19th with the 25th spare.

Event Format – ACT State Singles

  • An open draw will be conducted prior to the event. Maximum two (2) trial ends shall be permitted at the commencement of each game.
  • Format is four bowl singles. Games will be played 21 shots up for sectional and knockout games until the semi final. The semi-final and final will be played to 25 shots up. Shots in excess will not count.
  • Dead ends to be replayed
  • BA  Approved Club Uniform is to be worn.
  • Event winners will be eligible to represent ACT at the 2024 Nationals
  • Prizes – Badges will be awarded plus $200pp for the winners and $100pp for the runners-up.
  • The host club is the event controlling body.  The controlling body may change the event format if required due to inclement weather.

Determination of winners (sectional play)

  1. Points
  2. Score difference (margin)
  3. Score Percentage (Shots for divided by shots against)
  4. If all are tied then the result of the game between the two tied players will determine the player to advance.

  • An open draw will be conducted prior to the event. Maximum two (2) trial ends shall be permitted at the commencement of each game.
  • Dead ends do not count – Jack to be respotted on the T.
  • Format is 4 bowl singles. 2 sets of 9 ends with a 3 end tie breaker if needed.
  • BA  Approved Club Uniform is to be worn.
  • Prizes – Badges will be awarded plus $100pp for the winners and $50pp for the runners-up.
  • The host club is the event controlling body.  The controlling body may change the event format if required due to inclement weather.
