2024 ACT Representative Teams Named
Bowls ACT thank all involved with the representative process and wish our teams the best!
Following on from an impressive 2023 campaign in Western Australia, Bowls ACT are pleased to release the Open and Senior Teams for the 2024 Sides series to be played at Club Tweed as part of ‘The Nationals’ to be held across Broadbeach Bowls Club and Club Tweed.
The teams have retained an experienced core of players with selectors keen to build on the improvement shown in the 2022 and 2023 campaigns seeing some new and returning players included for 2024. The Over 60s sides saw four changes to the Mens team including Dave Cave rewarded for an outstanding season for Queanbeyan RSL while three changes in the womens team include Sue Montesin and Jill Cornish earning their places through strong performances.
The Womens Open side has also had three changes from the 2023 squad headlined by Norths Gina Dowley rewarded for her consistent form while the Mens Open team sees some more significant changes including the debut of Pathway Jackaroo Harvey McAlister and the return of Joel McInnes.
The Over 60s Sides will compete from October 11th to 15th with the Open Sides in action from the 16th to 20th, both at Club Tweed. Join us in cheering on our representatives with daily updates via Facebook.
