Round 1 – Approx 9:00am
Flynn O’Shaughnessy v Harvey McAlister (Section 3)
Flynn’s profile has grown tremendously in recent times, highlighted by an outstanding Australian open campaign that saw him finish Runner Up in the Mens Pairs. The Pathway Jackaroo and ACT Sides Skipper will be looking to add this tournament to his already stacked trophy cabinet.
Harvey will be looking to continue the rich vein of form he has found himself in recently. Fresh off of a Club Fours Championship, and with the rub of the green, Harvey looks poised to be at the pointy end of this tournament.
Round 2 – Approx 12pm
Chloe Morrison v Telara Edwards (Section 2)
This game presents to be a fantastic battle between the Emerging Jackaroo Chloe and the emerging ACT Star Telara Edwards.
Chloe has had an incredible 2024, which has resulted in her being selected to represent Australia at the Oceania Challenge in New Zealand. Chloe has dominated the singles discipline this year and with a win in the Invitational Singles, she will be the first bowler to sweep all major singles tournaments in the ACT.
Telara has had an outstanding season so far, finishing a quarter-finalist in the ACT Womens Singles and semi-finalist in the Mixed Pairs. Telara will be representing the ACT in the Singles Discipline at the Under-18 National Championships so this tournament could set a strong platform for her.
Round 3 – Approx 3pm
Doug Farr v James Reynolds (Section 4)
Doug Farr has been a staple in ACT Bowls. With two strong campaigns in the previous versions of this tournament, which saw him finish as a semi finalist in 2022 and the runner up in 2023, the Weston Creek Wildcat will be out looking to go one better in 2024.
James Reynolds enters this years Invitational Singles as the Wildcard entry. The current Para-Jackaroo and World Champion will be out looking to add another title to an already stacked resume.
