2025 ACT State Triples Wrap
Bowls ACT congratulate all bowlers on a highly competitive event!

The Bowls ACT State Triples wrapped up over the weekend at Queanbeyan Bowls Club. Spectators were treated to two high quality finals between worthy teams!
Womens Final
It was the Queanbeyan RSL Memorial team of Sue Montesin, Annette Mitchell and Cherrie Climas who got the jump on their opponents, skipping out to an 18-4 lead after 11 ends. After end 15, it was all one way traffic. The Jodie Marshall, Jenny clout and Ruth Moore team won 7 ends in a row to lead 23-19 after 22 ends, picking up a 5 in the process. The Climas led team then won end 23 and 24 leaving themselves needing a 3 on the last end to win, however the Moore rink held on, picking up a 2 to complete the comeback and win 25-21.

Mens Final
The Mens Final between the Tuggeranong team of Sean Robertson, Shane Murton and Harvey McAlister and the combined rink of Joel McInnes, Rob Craven and Mac McLean was back and forth early on, with both teams trading shots and the score being 11-10 after 14 ends in favour of the Tuggeranong team. They were then able to stretch the lead to 17-10 after 18 ends. The teams then traded shots until a 3 for the Tuggeranong team on end 22 made the score 22-13. They were then able to close out the game, with the final score being 26-13 to the Tuggeranong trio.
