2025 ACT State Fours Wrap
Bowls ACT congratulate all bowlers on a highly competitive event!
The Bowls ACT State Fours wrapped up over the weekend at Canberra Bowling Club. Spectators were treated to two high quality finals between worthy teams!
Womens Final
It was a tight battle in the Womens Fours Final. The team comprised of Leanne Birch, Kelli Cartledge, Sharon Steele and Chloe Morrison were coming in to the final with a 14 shot win in their semi final. The team made up of Jill Cornish, Helena Megee, Nicole Mengel and Margaret Bacchetto were coming off a 9 shot win in their semi final. Both teams were evenly poised throughout the match, however it was the team skipped by Margaret Bacchetto that were victorious, winning 20-15.
Mens Final
The Mens Final between the combined rink of Andrew McFarlane, Joel McInnes, Mac McLean and Robert Craven and the Weston Creek rink of Clinton De Pasquale, Michael Gunner, Dave Croker and Ivan Peric was set up to be a thriller. Both teams were coming into the final with big semi final victories. In the final, it was the team skipped by Robert Craven that were the eventual winners with a score of 21-12.
