2025 ACT Over 60 Pairs Nominations – Now Open
Bowls ACT are excited to open nominations for the 2025 ACT Over 60’s Pairs Championships to be played at Canberra Bowling Club and Queanbeyan RSL Memorial Bowling Club and thank both clubs for supporting the event. Nominations close on Monday March 17th at 3PM.
Men will be playing at Canberra Bowling Club, with extra greens to be added if needed, and Women will be playing at Queanbeyan RSL Memorial Bowling Club. Both will be playing round robin games on Day 1, then the top 8 teams from Day 1 will qualify for finals on Day 2 with BOTH Men and Women at Queanbeyan RSLM.
Event Format
- An open draw will be conducted prior to the event. Maximum two (2) trial ends shall be permitted at the commencement of each game.
- Dead ends do not count – Jack to be re-spotted on the T
- Format is three bowl pairs played over 15 ends
- Day 1 will be played as round robin, with all teams playing 3 games & the top 8 teams from each section progressing to Day 2, which will be a knockout format
- Club uniform is to be worn
- Teams can be made up by of members of any Bowls ACT club(s) and can be from one or more clubs.
- Prizes – Badges will be awarded plus $100pp for the winners and $50pp for the runners-up
- The host club is the event controlling body. The controlling body may change the event format if required due to inclement weather.
