2025 ACT Over 60 Fours Nominations – Now Open
Bowls ACT are excited to open nominations for the 2025 ACT Over 60’s Fours Championships to be played at Canberra Bowling Club and Tuggeranong Vikings Bowling Club and thank both clubs for supporting the event. Nominations close on Monday April 7th at 3PM.
Women will be playing at Canberra Bowling Club and Men will be playing at Tuggeranong Vikings Bowling Club. Both will be playing round robin games on Day 1, then the top 8 teams from Day 1 will qualify for finals on Day 2 both the Womens and Mens competition being played at Tuggeranong Vikings.
Event Format
- An open draw will be conducted prior to the event. Maximum two (2) trial ends shall be permitted at the commencement of each game.
- Dead ends do not count – Jack to be re-spotted on the T
- Format is two bowl fours played over 15 ends
- Day 1 will be played as round robin with the top 8 teams progressing to Day 2, which will be a knockout format
- Teams who receive a BYE will score two points for a win. Shots for/against will not be impacted.
- BA approved club uniform is to be worn
- Teams can be made up by of members of any Bowls ACT club(s) and can be from one or more clubs.
- Prizes – Badges will be awarded plus $100pp for the winners and $50pp for the runners-up
- The host club is the event controlling body. The controlling body may change the event format if required due to inclement weather.
