Rookie Singles 2022
Bowls ACT Rookie Singles is now open for Men & Women first affiliated since January 1st 2018 (Fifth playing season). Given the impacts of COVID the eligibility has been extended, however players are now only permitted to compete in this competition twice. This competition gives players at similar stages in their career path an opportunity to compete against players of comparable experience. All games are scheduled for Queanbeyan Bowling Club, however supplementary greens may need to be allocated based on number of entries received, and although it will be desirable to host all games at one club, entry numbers and green availability may mean that the event is shared across more than one club.
Event Format
Players will play in sections of three (or four, dependent on entries) with all players playing a minimum of two games before section winners will move on to the knockout stage. All games will be played 2x nine ends sets, with a three end tiebreak if required. Players who have a bye will be required to mark.
Attire
Participants are expected to compete in club attire.
Controlling Body
The Host Club is the event controlling body. The controlling body may alter the event format if required due to inclement weather.
