The 2019 event will be a first for the ACT with a brand new and exciting concept.
The 16 top ranked* ACT men’s and women’s players have been invited to play in an open draw format – for prize money in excess of $2000. The winner will take away $1000, the runner up $500, 3rd & 4th take home $200 each and 5th – 8th will take home $50 each.
NB: Prize money is based on a minimum number entries being received.
The event is to be played at QRSLM over the weekend of 21- 22 September. Day 1 will comprise sectional play, with time limits and reduced ends (21 ). Sectional winners will go forward to the next day where play will be knock out.
Any invitations not taken up by the ranked players will be offered to other players as ‘wildcard entries’ based on certain criteria (for example, winners of other ACT Singles events, representative players etc).
The draw will be conducted “live” at Weston Creek on the afternoon of
Saturday 14th September at Weston Creek (following the completion of play in the Men’s Fours).
