Junior Girls Champion Crowned

by admin on June 3, 2018

The weekend past saw the ACT Junior Championships commence with a field of six girls competing for the singles title.  With a mix of experienced and novice players, the coaches reported that the matches were of a pleasing standard, auguring well for the National Championships later this year.  Tuggeranong’s Mackenzie Smith was the eventual winner, defeating Rachel Davidson from QRSLM and Chloe Cooper from Belconnen.
NB:  Due to school holidays and other scheduling complexities, the Junior Championships will be held over a number of dates (all at QRSLM) so stay tuned for the results:

1 July – Girls’ Pairs and Triples, Boys Pairs.

 9 July – Boys Singles

 10 July Boys Triples
