Vale Danial Wilson
The bowls community joined together today to morn the passing of bowler/greenkeeper/family man Danial Wilson at the Lawn Cemetery in Yass. Hundreds of people attended the outdoor service as he was laid to rest in tranquil surroundings.
The Celebrant urged us to remember not how he died but how he lived – generous of spirit and devoted to his family. Family friend Ray Hill reminded us that Dan had been a Yass lad through and through, having worked as the greenkeeper at the Yass bowlo for some 20 years, and before that for local businesses. Ray spoke of Danial’s love for his wife Rebecca and their three children, as well as his parents and siblings.
So many people were touched by this wonderful young man and we shall miss him dearly. R I P Danial James Wilson. 13/09/1975 – 9/10/2018
