Senior Sides Wraps Up
The Senior Sides Men and Women have returned from the wilderness of SA’s Copper Coast tired but buoyant with pride for many fabulous results. The Men finished 7th overall but when one considers that they lost to BOTH Queensland and Tasmania by one shot – and to SA (eventual tournament winners) by only 6 shots, the results don’t do the performances justice. Similarly, the women finished 5th overall but went down to Victoria by one shot, NSW by 7 shots and SA by 6 shots, again coming close to some major upsets. The ACT also took home the Senior Territory Shield for their combined results against the NT – Women winning by 21 shots, men drawing 48 all.
Bowls ACT would like to thank host Clubs, Moonta Memorial Bowls Club and Wallaroo Bowls Club, for putting on a great event. We would also like to thank the Sportsmans Warehouse, Fyshwick, for assistance with our gear!
