Circular 37 – Bowls ACT 2023 Calendar & COP
Following feedback Bowls ACT is proud to release the 2023 Calendar & COP to all clubs. Bowls ACT continue to work with the match committee and members of Bowls ACT to optimise the calendar and thank all who provided feedback.
Key changes include:
- Greater clarity with closing dates; especially for Champion of Champions events later in the year.
- Double headers for pennant to bookend the season, keeping the more teams in contention until the final weekend and reducing the competition duration by one week
- Addition of NSW Junior 7-A-Side with ACT invited to attend
- Rep training to commence after AO
- Invitational singles moved to first weekend of September
- Addition of ADF test series
- ACT BPL Cup Final date set to give clarity to host clubs and competitors
- Separate days for mid-week pennant given the strong nominations in 2022
