Bowls ACT support Yass Club/Council Program
Yass Valley Council and Yass Bowling Club working together for junior development
A cool and wintery July day was not to deter nearly 20 juniors from the Yass region from descending on Yass Bowling Club for a continuation of a partnership with Yass Valley Council which sees local kids take to the greens to develop bowls skills as well as friendships while having a great time.
Yass Bowling Club had members in attendance to deliver the program including current ACT Junior star Tom Penyu showing the sport is accessible for all ages with some great skills on display from all the participants. Different games and activities were played across the day with plenty of smiles, high fives and chocolates being given out!
Bowls ACT encourage any club wishing to hold school holiday programs and are available to support establishing council relationships, provide equipment or share ideas to make the day a success.
